This experiment was performed to discover the amount of calcium ion concentration in dairy-free milk and it used the EDTA complexometric titration as a method. Calcium is an important factor in a person’s diet and acquiring it might be challenging if the person has cow’s milk protein allergy (CMPA). Hence, the objective was to determine which of the dairy-free milk of the experiment would contain more calcium to help people to achieve the right balance of calcium in their diet. It used three types of homemade dairy-free milk: coconut, rice and oat. In the results of the titration, the milk that had the highest average of EDTA titrated was the coconut milk, with 13.0 ml with a standard deviation of 0.5. Then, after calculating the amount of calcium of each milk based on the result of the titration, the coconut milk had 5.18 mg of calcium in a sample of 25 ml. Analysing the results, it was concluded that the best milk to substitute the cow’s milk was the coconut milk and that the dairy-free milk that had less calcium was the oat milk, with 1.83 mg of calcium in the 25 ml sample. However, coconut milk is not commonly used to drink, but to use in recipes; so, with this in mind, the rice milk, the dairy-free milk that has a medium amount of calcium, being 2.73 mg of calcium in the 25 ml sample, is more recommended to drink and substitute the cow’s milk.
