Dry fruit moth (Plodia interpunctella) is a pest that is harmful to household food as well as agricultural production. Various pesticides are used to protect agricultural areas and crops from these pests. Although the negative effects of pesticides on agricultural areas and products harm nature, they can be carried to humans as bioaccumulations through food chains. Conditions such as vomiting, diarrhea, palpitations, sweating and breathing difficulties can be seen in humans as a result of pesticide effects. food safety, It is the production system of foods suitable for consumption that will not have negative effects on human health. Increasing the reliability of this system, which aims to protect human health, is one of the important issues among European Union studies. Our project has been designed on dried fruit moth, in which chemical pesticides are used in agricultural control, and it is aimed to search for natural herbal solutions that can be effective in protecting the ecological balance by removing them from the environment, instead of pesticides that have a deadly effect in the fight against this pest. In order to find herbal solutions for these purposes, black seed, bay leaf and sage plants were used in our project. Experimental setups were set up to observe the effects of these plants on dried fruit moth separately or in combination. As a result of the studies carried out in our project, it is thought that herbal solutions that can be used instead of pesticides or that can contribute to reducing pesticide use have been reached.
