ANDROID – Application with the function of automatic removing of moving objects

With the development of photography technology has taken one of the important steps in the social activity of mankind. It’s common to take a photo of an event or a landmark. On the one hand, there are more and more requirements for photos and further photo processing. And one of such necessities was “cleaning” from the photo of superfluous objects: cars, people, moving animals. On the other hand, for technical documentation, the architects need to place the project in the design environment, when the visualization of the building is located on the background of a photo with a real landscape. In this case, it can take a long time to delete small objects with photoshop using panoramic photos. Taking photos immediately without such objects will also greatly facilitate their work with non-essential aspects of the production process. In general, the removing of moving objects in the photo is not a new thing, there are programs and plug-ins for photo editors, and services, as well as regular Photoshop tools, in which it is generally done. But in itself the use of filtering in the smartphone itself is, in our opinion, a smart idea, because the average user (tourist, for example) needs the process to be simple – pull the device out of your pocket, press a few buttons and a beautiful photo for social networking is ready. The objects are removed on the spot quickly and easily – without Photoshop and additional actions. So, the aim is to develop an application for Android that automates and facilitates accurate physical digital photography with a standard camera on a smartphone by immediately filtering out moving obstacles during shooting. We conducted experimental research and obtained qualitative evaluations of the effectiveness of several methods of averaging a series of frames to create the final photo with the maximum effect of removing unnecessary objects that got into the frame during shooting. The proposed application on Android should allow you get a digital photo of a static object (architectural structure, historical monument, etc.) to quickly and easily for amateur photography or accurate technical documentation in crowded places, using the multimedia and computing capabilities of modern smartphones.
